LYNKAGE: Being in the business for approximately ten years, what are some of the important stuff that you have learnt so far?
JAH PATRIOT: Be very creative, be original, and don’t take anything personal.
LYNKAGE: What do you think gives you an edge over other entertainers?
JAH PATRIOT: I don’t really view it in that way, I just do my part and do it exceptionally well. Some people seem to find that as a challenge to them.
I’m here to do my true art form; I went through stages in my life where music became my savior because even when I went blind it was the music that saved me.
LYNKAGE: Can you tell us a little about how you got blind?
JAH PATRIOT: Well when I was seven years old, another youth punched me in one eye, and it went blind, and going through having one eye I was ok still, then a doctor game me some medicine saying they would help me and instead, the medicine damaged me even more, but I had to gained my strength, and that still did not stop me from coming to this music called reggae because in this music you have a responsibility, so I Just rise to the level that Jah want me to be, and just make my music as pure and as entertaining as possible.
LYNKAGE: What has the love been like with your family and your community?
JAH PATRIOT: Well everyone endorses it to the fullest, and that also helps me to carry through, there are days when you have to face challenges in life, but the almighty always appoint some people in your life, and just a word from these people give you encouragement.
LYNKAGE: Where are some of the places that ‘Jah Patriot’ has performed outside of Jamaica?
JAH PATRIOT: Several places in the Caribbean; Grenada, Barbados, Virgin Islands and all over America .
LYNKAGE: Where are some of the places that you are hoping to visit in 2009?
JAH PATRIOT: Well we are looking to tap into the European Market right now, I have songs over there. I am finishing up my album right now, and when the album is complete we are looking to tour those regions, America to Europe, and to Africa likewise.
LYNKAGE: Being blind, what is it like for you when you are performing?
JAH PATRIOT: Well really and truly the music is what leads me, I’ve found myself performing and its after I have finished performing that the MC realized that I’m blind.
I don’t worry about stuff like falling or anything like that because I know Jah is protecting me, so I move according to how the music moves me. It's just fun being on stage and I love being on stage and doing my music.

JAH PATRIOT: Right now we are in the process of working with Sly and Robbie on this new album; I’ve worked with Beres Hammond and King Jammys also.
LYNKAGE: So have you done any collaboration with any other entertainers?
JAH PATRIOT:I did a song a couple years ago with Chuck Fenda, Capleton, and I have a compilation with Dennis Brown.
LYNKAGE: What your most memorable moment so far?
JAH PATRIOT: There has been so many, but to name one, I would say; when Capleton and I was in Grenada it was a spectacular show.
LYNKAGE: What should the fans expect for 2009, do you plan to release the album for this year?
JAH PATRIOT: Well I’m looking to drop the album in summer.
LYNKAGE: What do you hope to achieve the next five to ten years?
JAH PATRIOT: I expect to achieve maximum success from the music, I don’t see any limit because music has no borders and boundaries, reggae music travels to the four corners of the earth, I don’t see any barriers as to say I want my music just to sell platinum, it’s just an unlimited potential so I want to achieve all of that. Also to develop new talents, I want to have an entity that keeps the music alive to it’s purest form for generations to come.
