LYNKAGE: Welcome Tifa could you tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in the music industry
TIFA: Well I started performing arts; singing, dancing acting as a little girl. I was in the school choir and dance group and my step father was a producer that used to produce lady Saw. When I was in grade five (5)  I auditioned for Asha dance group, I performed with them in Jamaica and toured with them overseas so I basically started to do music at a young age.

LYNKAGE: What song are you mostly known for?
TIFA:  Bottom a di barrel

LYNKAGE: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced as a female artiste?
TIFA:Well I never really face any challenges to that extent, I wanted to make it on my own cause I wanted my family to see that I was serious, I decided I never was going to sell my soul or sleep with anyone. As with any body it’s just to get your stuff out there, Luckily I had a lot of people including ward 21was looking out for me along the way.

LYNKAGE:What is your most memorable moment as a deejay?
TIFA: A Couple weeks ago when I went to Belize with Natalie and Tiffany and I performed “bottom a di barrel”. I know that song is big still, but trust me I never knew it was so big over there. Man, woman, dog, child everybody knew the song, I performed the song like eight times and each time I was not even singing the words it was ridiculous they knew every line, verse, chorus everything.

LYNKAGE: Where else have you performed outside of Jamaica?
TIFA: Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Bratislava, Slovakia. I was actually one of the first female reggae/ dancehall artistes to ever perform in the Czeck Republic.

LYNKAGE: What are some of the not so good moments as an entertainer?
TIFA: Not much just the regular problems; bad mind, people say this and that, but I’m a one-a-way person so people don’t bother me too much.

LYNKAGE: What are three of the things that you can’t live without?
TIFA: Other than the obvious God and my family hmmm….
Money, Lip Gloss, Chewing Gum lol

LYNKAGE: What would you blow a million pounds on right now?

TIFA: honestly I’ve always admired Oakland, I’d love to own something like that where I own a lot of town houses and apartments and mi jus live inna di back a collect all that money lol .

LYNKAGE: What is that one thing that gets on your nerves?
TIFA: Disrespect especial people that disrespect others for no reason

LYNKAGE: What Makes your Day?
TIFA: Money

LYNKAGE: What do you do in your free time?
TIFA: I like to go to the beach or chill with a few friends

LYNKAGE: If you are the last person on earth who should the last man be?
TIFA: Someone Skinny, I like guys that have little asian look, some one funny, and someone I can reason with

LYNKAGE: What’s one the craziest thing you’ve done lately?
TIFA: Nothing lately

LYNKAGE: What has been happening with Tifa?
TIFA: Lots of things, I have shows coming up in Cayman, Canada, lots of tours in the pipeline, new releases, two new songs that I did with Stephen di Genius that’s coming out , a whole heap of things, stuff with  Natalie storm and Timberlee, I have a mad new single coming out  call “Spell it out”.

LYNKAGE: Who are some of the people you have collaborated with?
TIFA: I’ve never really done any collaboration but I’d love to collaborate with Vybz Kartel cause mi rate Kartel, and with my fellow friend Chino, Laden, Konshens.

LYNKAGE: What is your view on the broadcasting commission’s decision to ban certain songs?
TIFA: They cannot blame dancehall for all the social problems, plus banning the music does not make a difference kids can still go on cable, internet or play video games which all have sexual content. It all boils down to the parents taking responsibility for what their children listen to. They can focus alot more negative things other than dancehall music.

LYNKAGE: Where is Tifa the next five to ten years?
TIFA:Where Sean Paul and Shaggy has taken the music, big up Lady Saw, Patra Cecile, Macka Diamond cause they  help pave the way for a lot of other female artistes.
